ECCAC 9th Annual Chili Cookoff |
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED Once again this year we will be setting up a booth for the Chili Cookoff. Last year we had a great response from people attending the cookoff. If you would like to help out at the booth, ride your bike out (preferably cleaned up) and we will have them lined up next to our table for show and tell. The children's center is also looking for chili judges, bean judges, and mechanical bull riders. TX 21 has had several different people ride the bull in the last couple of years, but so far we haven't got any takers. If interested please let us know. (click below) Also we will be having a "Show n' Tell/Recruiting Booth" set up at the cookoff. We will need help setting up the booth on Friday during the day, and then people to man it Friday, Friday evening, and Saturday during the day. Please let us know if you can be available for any of this. (click below) Last year TX21 sponsored one Chili Chef, Bob Adams, who went on to win his division! Alas, Bob will not be able to attend or enter the chili cookoff this year. So, we are looking for a replacement(s) for TX 21 to sponsor this year. So if you have a chili recipe that you believe is good enough to enter this cookoff, TX21 will sponsor you and pay for the fixin's....................let us know! (click below) Saturday night is the Barn Dance and Prime Rib Dinner, beer and wine come with the dinner. We just received this information so we are looking for people to sign up. The dinner and dance on Saturday night costs $30.00 each, but you get a lot for your money and all proceeds go to ECCAC. For the last 2 years TX21 has been a "sponsor" which means we all sit at the same table and get wine and some other things. As we figure this out I'll send the info out to the club. So you can see this is going to be a party! Come join us for the fun and all the money goes to the Ellis County Children's Advocacy Center. More info on this flyer: ECCAC Chili Cookoff Information |
