Page 2 Once again we returned to our summer getaway on the river. This year we stayed at Riverside Park near Canyon Lake. We had a great turnout as you can see from all the camp sites, trailers, tents, etc. Many thanks the Chilidawg for doing all the cooking this year! We put 50 tubes in the river this year, more than double the amount of people last year. We found out that there is a major difference in water temperature depending on where you put in. Normally the river is in the 70's, but when you put in at Canyon Lake, right next to the damn, the water is somewhere below freezing, and so were we until we got about an hour away from the dam!! After all the hard play, there were a lot of naps to catch up on! Take a look through the pictures and you'll see what we mean. All in all, a great time, with great friends. We were lucky enough to have Texas 12 from the San Antonio area come down and join us for a while. We even managed to reserve the hammock for Chops to spend the night in. The weather cooperated with us this year and nobody had to scramble to get out of the rain.
