Guadalupe River Ride Ruckus on the River UPDATE!! We will be leaving from I-Hop in Waxahachie (287 & 77) at 10:00 am, Friday the 6th of August. Please let us know if you are leaving from the I-Hop with us so we don't leave you. (click above to let us know) The Guadalupe River Ride is set for August 6-8, 2004. The Rockin R Camp Huaco Springs at the first crossing will be our destination. You can check out the Rockin R website at: www.rockinr.com/campground2.htm They have 7 cabins of different sizes and 31 tent sites with electricity. There are also on-site RV trailers for rent along with 71 VERY WELL maintained RV spots right on the river. IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON TAKING AN RV OR RENTING AN RV OR WANT A TENT SPOT WITH ELECTRICITY, I WOULD MAKE MY RESERVATIONS ASAP! They have plenty of primitive campsites available on a first come basis. NO generators are allowed in this area! I will be taking my camper and the smoker down the day before on Thursday so the briskets will be ready when the club arrives on Friday afternoon. My bet is the margaritas will be too! We do need a head count ASAP as this is their busy season on the river. It's a great campground to bring your kids! It even has a kid's river (man made) in the campground for the young-uns. Check out the website and make your reservations and let me know to put you on the ride list.
